Fast Pitch Softball

Fast Pitch Softball Information
Age groups for softball are 9-10 Mites, 11-12 Midgets, 13-14 Juniors.  The fee will be $50.00 per child with a 10% discount for all children after the first one has registered.  A child’s age as of January 1st of the current year will determine the age group they will be eligible to play in.  Everyone who registers will play.  In all age groups, there are parents who feel their child should play in an older age group.   :  When a parent wants to move their child up they must speak with the athletic staff before the move will be approved.  They must fill out an age waiver and speak with the staff so that the rule differences may be explained to them.  Make sure we have your correct home phone number.  are not supplied in any age group.  The registration fee goes to help with the cost of field maintenance, lights for game nights, officials and scorekeepers, and the baseball/softball equipment.  Coaches try to get sponsors for their team and if one is not found parents are responsible for the cost of their child’s uniform.  must be written on the registration form when you register.  Volunteer coaches are always needed in this age group and all age groups.  Please consider being a youth coach.  The children will play in the city they live and go to school.  Being a youth coach involves teaching the sport, organizing practices, communicating with the parents about practice times and game times, finding a sponsor to cover the cost of uniforms, and appointing a team mom.  The team may want team pictures and end of season trophies which is optional.  If the team does want these things the parents are responsible for their cost.  To coach you must fill out a coaching application each season and pass the background check.
