Our Parks…
Besides the Recreation Center and its surrounding facilities, the PSA Leisure Services Department is responsible for the maintenance of 22 other park and recreation facilities in Camden County and for scheduling reservations of the facilities for public use.
Howard Peeples Park
This park is located on Gross Road in Kingsland and covers 18 acres. The list of amenities include 3 pavilions with picnic tables, 2 basketball courts, 4 lighted tennis courts, 2 softball fields, 2 playgrounds, and restroom facilities.
This park is very popular with the public. Many people reserve it for birthday parties and cook outs.
Kingsland Lions Park
Located on South Grove Boulevard in Kingsland, this 12.4 acre park offers 3 pavilions, 4 baseball fields, 4 t-ball fields, 2 lighted tennis courts, 1 basketball court, a playground, and 4 separate restroom facilities. This park stays busy during our baseball season.
Little Catfish Creek
This park covers 4.1 acres off of Highway 17, south of Kingsland city limits. This park offers travelers and residents alike a roadside picnic spot. Amenities include picnic tables, swings and a playground.
Browntown Wilderness Park
This 21.7 acre park is located west of the Kingsland city limits on Temple Creek Road. At this park, there is a basketball court, a multi-use field, a playground, a pavilion, and restroom facilities.
Temple Landing Boat Ramp
This facility is located at the end of Temple Creek Road, right down from the Wilderness Park. This park covers 3.3 acres and has a public boat ramp that accesses the St. Marys River, a floating fishing dock, and restrooms.
St. Marys Rec Authority Park/St. Marys Pool
Located off of Margaret Street in St. Marys, this 24 acre park has lots to offer. There are three baseball fields, a football field, a playground, 2 pavilions, and restrooms.
There is also a public pool that is open from Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend, complete with slide, diving board, kiddie play area, restrooms, and shower area. Water aerobics are offered here also.
St. Marys Civic Park
This 32 acre park is located on Herb Bauer Drive in St. Marys. Amenities include a pavilion, a baseball field, a girls softball field, 4 t-ball fields, 2 basketball courts, 2 tennis courts, a playground, and restrooms. This park is very popular on weekends. Many people reserve the pavilion for birthday parties.
Soccer Complex
This 14 acre property has 8 soccer fields, a picnic shelter, a Club House, a fishing pond and restrooms.
Sweetwater Park
Located on Point Peter Road, this 7 acre park has 4 tennis courts, a multi-use field, 2 basketball courts, playground equipment with swings and restrooms.
McIntosh Sugar Mill Park
This park is a historic landmark on 36 acres of land located off of Highway Spur 40. Picnic tables are available to use at this park.
Point Peter Pond
This 9 acre piece of property has a stocked fishing pond for the public’s enjoyment. It is located off of North River Causeway.
Cornelia Jackson Memorial Park
This is a seven acre park located on 15th Street in Woodbine. This park offers a screened pavilion with a full kitchen, a lighted basketball court, a football field, a playground, picnic tables, and restrooms.
This park is very popular with the Woodbine residents. The weekends stay booked for family get-togethers and parties.
Woodbine Community Park
Situated on 8.4 acres off of Highway 110 in Woodbine, this park offers a baseball field, a football field, a lighted tennis court, a basketball court, a playground, and restrooms.
Woodbine Lions Park
This 5.2 acre park on Georgia Avenue has two baseball fields.
Woodbine Nature Trail
This feature begins on Highway 110 in Woodbine. The nature trail is a concrete walkway that is lighted and extends over the marshlands and then connects to a boardwalk along the Satilla River that ends at a gazebo. There are benches situated along the way for those who want to rest and enjoy the scenery.
Satilla Waterfront Park
This park sits on 3.2 acres of waterfront property on the Satilla River. It offers two pavilions, a public boat ramp, floating fishing dock, and restrooms. There is also a small stage. This park is home to the annual Woodbine Crawfish Festival.
Harriett’s Bluff Community Park
Located off of Harriett’s Bluff Road, this 21 acre park is one of our newer facilities. It offers an octagon-shaped screened in pavilion with full kitchen facilities, restrooms, picnic tables scattered throughout the park, a basketball court, a tennis court, and a nature trail.
Harriett’s Bluff Boat Ramp
This public boat ramp sits on ¾ of an acre and offers access to the St. Marys River and a floating fishing dock.
Mary B. Smart Park
This park is located on Old Post Road in Woodbine (locals call it Tarboro). It sits on 17 acres and offers a baseball field, a basketball court, a tennis court, playground equipment, and restrooms.
Maple Ford Park
This 40 acre park is located on Spring Bluff Road in Waverly. This park has a screened in pavilion, a baseball field, a basketball court, a volleyball court, playground equipment, and restrooms.
White Oak Boat Ramp
This public boat ramp sits on 1 ½ acres off of Highway 17 North in White Oak and offers a dock and boat ramp that accesses the Satilla River.
Spring Bluff Boat Ramp
This boat ramp is located near the Camden/Glynn County line on Hwy 17 North in Waverly
